Day Tours from Muscat

Start from Grand Mosque (except Thursday & Friday) (Ladies fully covered with scarf and shorts not allowed for men) & Bait Al Zubair Museum (except Friday) is a brief introduction that traces Oman's history and development. Then, photo stop to the magnificent Al Alam Palace, official palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos flanked by the 16th century Portugese forts Mirani & Jalali.

Nizwa Tour

Nizwa, capital of the interior, is the birthplace of Islam in the Sultanate of Oman. Nizwa boasts of the famous Round Tower Fort, built in the 17th century, and its Souq renowned for its Friday cattle auction, intricately hand-carved "Khanjars" (daggers) & ornamental silver jewellery.

Jabrin, the finest of Oman's castles built in the late 17th century, became a seat of Omani learning. The pretty village of Birkat Al Mauz situated at the foothills of Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountains). Enjoy a walk through its oasis and dense date plantations.

Wahiba Sands Tours ( Sharqiya Sands )

The Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand and dunes rising up to 200 meters are also host to a variety of flora and fauna. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographers delight. Visit a Bedouin house in this wilderness. In stark contrast to this is Wadi Bani Khalid. It comprises of small pretty villages embedded in the mountains. The Wadi has clear deep blue water.

Dhow Cruise

At 0800 hrs transfer from the hotel to the Marina. Depart in the morning from the Marina by dhow and cruise along the magnificent coastline. Along the way, watch dolphins at play. There is ample opportunity to stop for swimming and snorkeling at Bandar Khayran. This spot is an ideal retreat with its calm waters and isolated beaches.Picnic lunch served on board. Return to the Marina by 1800 hrs and transfer to the hotel.

Forts & Mountain

First Day: Drive down to Nizwa market and fort. Drive up the Jebel Shams to see the Grand Canyon of Oman. Enjoy a picnic lunch up in the mountains. Visit the Palace of Jabrin and the walled village of Bahla ( Bahla Fort ). Dinner at a local restaurant in Nizwa. Overnight at Nizwa.( Golden Tulip Nizwa or Falaj Daris)

Second Day: Breakfast . See the animal auction in Nizwa and then travel to Al Hamra oasis, view the mountain village of Misfat Al Abreen. Travel across the Al Hajjar mountains to Billad Sayt enjoy a picnic lunch and then through Wadi bani Awf to Nakhal. Visit the Nakhal fort and the springs. Drive back to Muscat late afternoon.

First Day: Breakfast at the Hotel. Depart from the hotel and travel via Izki, Mudhabi, Sinaw to Ibra and Mudairib, before travelling to Wahiba Sands. Dinner and overnight at the Wahiba Sands, in a camp.

Romantic Tour

First Day: Depart from the hotel in a large 4WD. Our journey will take us first to the fish market of Quriyat. The road meandering along the coast will bring you to the Bimah sinkhole- a meteoric depression in the ground filled with water. We arrive at WADI SHAB and trek through the canyon to reach the natural pools of water where you can have a swim. The white Mokkalla beach is where we will stop by to enjoy a picnic lunch. Our journey continues down to Sur the town famous for its Dhow (Omani boats) building yard. From Sur we travel down to the Wahiba sands. A night out in the wilderness of the Sharqiyah sands (Wahiba), home of the nomadic Bedouins who for centuries have lived under the open skies. Share their experience in this vast sea of sands under a starlit sky. Unforgettable memories of a tranquil sunset. Dinner and overnight in tents.

Second Day: Next day depart from the camp and drive up the dunes to see a flaming sunrise. Return to the camp for a camp breakfast. After breakfast, visit a Bedouin family, where you can buy local handicrafts and take a camel ride (at an extra cost-payable directly to the Bedouin family). From the desert, we travel to Wadi Bani Khalid it comprises of small pretty villages embedded in the mountains. The wadi has clear deep blue water and is a perfect place for a swim. From the wadi we commence our return journey to Muscat, stopping en-route at the Al Qabil Guest house for lunch. Late afternoon is estimated time of arrival back to the hotel.
