Mountain Biking
 
Heading out of Muscat to the hills for some off-roading action. A wide range of routes on mostly graded roads and paths will take you on anything from a gentle cycle to a full-on adrenalin-rush thrill – get pedaling and feel the wind in your hair.
 
 
Via Ferrata
 
Cross the famous Snake Canyon by Via Ferrata as you traverse the walls of the canyon, zipping across 5 high wire crossings along the route! The dramatic drops and views of the canyon make this an adrenalin rush for the adventurous.
 
 
Abseiling
 
Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced abseiler this is an exciting trip set to a background of stunning scenery. A 1-2hr drive on a combination of blacktop and graded roads through stunning wadis and mountain ranges brings you to the abseiling area. 
A full safety and equipment briefing and then you're off Taking it in turns you'll abseil down the wall – which could be anything from 16m to 60m high. Once you've all safely descended you'll enjoy a vertical trek .
 
 
    

Rock Climbing
 
Fancy having a morning or afternoon climbing under the supervision of our instructor. Don't worry you are safe and can try at your own pace. Get the adrenalin pumping. The children love to try.
 
 
Trekking
 
The trekking season is generally from September to May, but the best period is October to April. Above 1,900 meter altitude trekking is possible all year round. The countryside is mostly rugged and the trails are loose, but trekking is by far the best way to enjoy Oman's spectacular mountain-landscape. Different types of trips with varying degrees of difficulty can be done; from the easy start in Capital Area to the stunning Rim Walk in the Grand Canyon of Jabal Shams .
 
 
Splelunking (Caving)
 
The limestone rich sedimentary deposits of Oman's mountains provide the backdrop for those who seek to find the inner path. There are caves of to suit all adventurers' tastes from simple to complex. Oman is now recognized as home of the worlds second largest cave (cataloged) the stunning Majlis Al Jinn (Meeting place of the Spirits). Checking in at over 4,000,000 cubic metres, and located in a remote region of the Eastern Hajar Mountains, Majlis Al Jinn is big enough to house five of the Al Bustan Palace Hotel. But, cavers be prepared; The entrance to the cave is 160 metre free descent. Be sure to bring a long rope. Other caves of interest are Al Hota Cave in Al Hamra, Moqul cave in Wadi Bani Khalid.
 
 
Canyoning
 
This special kind of trekking may not require special equipement, but perhaps a special zest for adventure. If you enjob narrow slot canyons with sheer faces, crystalline pools of water, caverns and grottos, then Oman has just what you are looking for. Wadi Shab, Snake Canyon, Wadi Hajir, Wadi Haylayn, Wadi Qashah are just some of the spelendid treks, each of which can be accomplished in a day's outing. Dress light and bring of dry box for your camera, because you are sure to get wet.
